COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Rising crude prices and refinery disruptions, including one in Toledo, where there was a refinery fire this week, those are the reasons you’ll hear for the fact that gasoline prices in Branch County and across the area jumped again Thursday, to at least $3.75 a gallon. That’s more than 40 cents a gallon higher than the beginning of the week.

The most recent spike yesterday was 20 cents and what’s happened lately is mind blowing, according to Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.Com. He’s not ruling out prices reaching 4 dollars a gallon in the near future.
