BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – It’s official, the Bronson Vikings are heading to the Big 8 Conference starting with the 2017-2018 school year.
Bronson Superintendent of Schools Teresa Belote says they got the official letter from the conference on Wednesday. They will be joining a conference that already has Branch County rivals Union City and Quincy.
Belote points out this was the first opening in the Big 8 in 42 years. Bronson will be replacing Athens as a conference member.
Since the schedules for next year are already in place, Bronson will remain in the BCS East for 2016-2017.
