COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater is showing off the newly renovated and expanded Dr. Robert W. Browne Recreation Center with an open house all day Monday. The facility opened its doors last week and today the city is inviting everyone to check out it with free admission for the day. It’s a happening that started at 7 am Monday with the courts free until 3pm and the walking track free until 7pm. There are leagues and fitness activities scheduled for later this afternoon.
City Manager Jeff Budd says the new multi-purpose courts enable amenities that were previously unattainable. According to Budd, there will be an official Grand Opening in the spring as minor work still remains on the project, but the city wanted everyone to know that they are open for business and better than ever.
For the rest of the winter, the Coldwater Recreation Department will be offering: Cardiocircuit; Pilates; Senior Fitness; Yoga; Soccer; Floor Hockey; Tennis; Dodgeball; Kickball and much more. Visit www.coldwater.org for a full list of activities as well as online registration
