QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Despite no strong winds or heavy thunderstorms in Branch County late last night or early today, several trees came down and completely blocked roads in 3 locations including one place where a car slammed into a tree. The man from Quincy behind the wheel escaped injury. That was around 2 a.m. on Girard Road near Lutz Road.
About an hour earlier, a large tree was reported down across Old 27 near Otis road with no room on the pavement to get pass the obstruction. The Branch County Road Commission was called to clear the way. And a short time later, a tree was reported across Union City Road, south of Johnson Road.
