COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Sometimes it seems like life is all about timing and this week, that’s especially true when it comes to how much you pay to fill it up. Gasoline prices in Branch County and most of Michigan spiked 35 cents to 40 cents on Wednesday with the cost of a gallon of self-serve regular jumping to around $2.50 a gallon.
Analysts blamed some of the increase on sporadic oil refinery maintenance issues. If that was the case, they must have had a quick fix because beginning yesterday afternoon, prices at some stations fell right back in line and today in Coldwater, you can get, at the right location, gas for about $2.12 a gallon.
