BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A school system in Branch County has won a sizeable grant designed to improve math and science skills. The Bronson Community School District has been named a $25,000 grant recipient for America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education. The program is sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, which will be celebrating with a check presentation on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the halftime of Bronson high school’s home football game.
The district plans to use the grant to purchase more tablets to use in the elementary classrooms to have a significant impact on the students and the community. Representatives from the school and from Monsanto will be in attendance at the event and local farmers who nominated the school for the grant will also be invited to the ceremony.
Since 2011, America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education has invested over $9 million in public school districts to enhance science and math skills.
