KANSAS CITY, MO (WTVB) – Seventh-seeded Michigan tips off in Sweet 16 action tonight against third-seeded Oregon in Kansas City.
The Wolverines topped 10-seed Oklahoma State Friday and number-two Louisville Sunday to set up their meeting with the Ducks. Oregon beat 14-seed Iona and 11-seed Rhode Island in the first two rounds.
It’s the first time the teams have faced each other in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan did beat Oregon in the 2004 NIT semifinals.
