COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The middle school basketball season for teams from Coldwater’s Legg Middle School got underway Wednesday night, and the Cardinals won three of four games.. The 8th Grade A team defeated Parma Western 72-30. Ethan Crabtree had 15 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Brandon Downs added 11 points, while Logan Farmer had 5 rebounds and Aiden Marsden had 4.
The Legg Middle School 8th grade B team won their season opener Wednesday night, 42-24 over Parma Western. Gavin Budd led the way with 12 points and 7 rebounds, followed by Jett Galloway’s 10 and Kyle Sheppard with 9. Dawson Sharpley added 5 rebounds and Joe Eichorn tallied 3 assists.
The Legg 7th Grade A basketball team opened the season with a 42-35 victory over Parma Western. Hunter Munson led the scoring with 15, Donte Work 14, 9 for Elijah Sloan and Garrett Johns had 4.
The Legg Middle School 7th Grade B boys basketball team lost their season opener to Parma Western, 37-24. Hamid Abdulla led the team in scoring with 16 points
