CANTON, OH – The members of the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction class – players Champ Bailey, Tony Gonzalez, Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, Ed Reed, and Johnny Robinson, along with contributors Pat Bowlen and Gil Brandt, received their commemorative gold jackets last night and will be formally enshrined tonight in Canton, Ohio.
Menawhile, the Hall of Fame board announced that it will expand the number of potential inductees to 20 next year as part of the NFL’s celebration of its 100th season. Hall president David Baker said that the 2020 class could include up to five modern-day players, 10 seniors, three contributors and two coaches, with the modern-era players elected by the same 48-member selection committee as always.
