COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals will be the only Branch County high school football team in action Friday night as they’ll host the Marshall Red Hawks in the Cardinals first home game of the 2020 season at Cardinal Field.
Coldwater is coming off a 50-21 victory at Jackson Northwest as the ground game compiled nearly 500 yards rushing last week.
Marshall lost a 28-27 heartbreaker to Jackson Lumen Christi.

With the Bronson school district shut down because of four students testing positive for COVID-19, Bronson’s home game with Reading has been called off.
Meanwhile, games involving Quincy and Union City were moved to Saturday due to the lack of officials. Quincy will play at Concord at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning while Union City will host Homer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
