GLENDALE, AZ (WTVB) – Matt Prater kicked a field goal as time expired as the Detroit Lions pushed past the Arizona Cardinals 26-23 Sunday afternoon. It snapped an 11 game losing streak, dating back to last season.
Matthew Stafford threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Kenny Golladay and Jesse James each caught touchdowns for the Lions, who improve to 1-and-2.
Safety Duron Harmon, linebacker Jamie Collins Sr. and rookie cornerback Jeff Okudah all registered picks for Detroit. It was Okudah’s first career interception in just his second start.
Kyler Murray threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns but also threw those three interceptions for the Cardinals. Murray also rushed for a touchdown for Arizona. Andy Isabella finished with two touchdowns for the Cardinals, who drop to 2-and-1.
