COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After it had to be cancelled last year due to concerns over mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis, the City of Coldwater’s Haunted Forest is back.
It will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at Rotary Park.
City Manager Keith Baker said during Monday’s City Council meeting that the Michigan State Police will be assisting with traffic control.
The city plans to make this a safe family event that will follow State COVID-19 safety guidelines. To help spread out the crowd, vehicles will first be directed to the cemetery before being released to go to Rotary Park.
The Coldwater Recreation Department will be putting on the event. Admission will be $5 per person.
There will be a “Less Scary” Haunted Forest each night between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with the scarier version between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m..
