QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools Athletic Director Gabe Frisbie has announced the district has decided not to hold any practices or events at the middle and high school levels for the next two weeks due to the high rate of COVID-19 in the district and in Branch County.
Practice was scheduled to start Monday in Michigan for girls basketball and girls competitive cheer.
The first day of practice for boys basketball, boys bowling, girls bowling and wrestling was scheduled for next Monday, November 16.
Boys swimming practice was scheduled to start in two weeks on November 23.
Frisbie is asking in order to get Quincy sports seasons back on track, limit contact, practice social distancing and wear a mask.
He says the district will be reevaluating moving forward with athletics in two weeks.
