COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners waved board rules and passed a resolution on Thursday which schedules a December 22 public hearing on a tentative amended 911 service plan agreement.
The public hearing will take place during the Commissioners final regular meeting of 2020.
The resolution allows for the plan to be sent out within five days to various public agencies in the 911 Technical Service District of the Plan and the 911 Board for their review.
Their input and whatever concerns they have will then be presented during the December 22 public hearing which will be followed by final formal action by the Commissioners.
The 911 Board has scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. to get a report from Kevin Kearns of IXP Corporation of Seattle who was hired by the county to review the 911 Dispatch operations and to make recommendations to county officials. The 911 Service Plan proposal is also on the agenda.
