COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three musicals highlight the 2021 Tibbits Summer Theater as the details were announced this week.
The season will be the first under Artistic Director Peter Riopelle and it will feature the musicals, “The Best of Broadway”, “The Fantasticks” and “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
The season will close with the play “On Golden Pond.”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, none of the performances during the 2020 Tibbits Summer Theater were able to be held inside of the historic Tibbits Opera House.
Shows were held outdoors at the Ponds of Coldwater. While the hope is that it is safe to move back to the Tibbits before summer, the decision was made to plan for the same restrictions.
If restrictions change and theaters can reopen, the show titles, dates, and times will remain intact with some possible additional shows.
“The Best of Broadway” is scheduled to open the season on June 16, 2021.
