BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A report from the Michigan Department of Health Human Services on Friday showed that Branch County’s seven-day average positivity rate on COVID-19 tests has dropped to 12-point-7 percent after being near 20 percent several weeks ago.
With the rate going down, Branch County is among 33 counties that are at Level C which is third highest of the six levels in the metric used by the Michigan Department of Heath and Human Services to assess the risk levels of catching COVID-19.
Hillsdale County is the only county in the state at the highest level of Level E as their positivity rate was just over 20 percent.
The statistics showed that of the 1,493 tests that were administered in Branch County between December 10 and 16, there were 190 positive tests.
