BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – There were two different figures on Saturday as to the number of COVID-19 deaths that have been reported in Branch County.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says there has been 58 deaths out of the 2,690 confirmed cases in Branch County.
But an update provided by Branch County government on Wednesday shows there have been 61 deaths including 31 in during the month of December of county residents who had tested positive for COVID-19.
The M.D.H.H.S. on Saturday said there has been 477,269 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started with 12,029 state residents dying after they tested positive for the virus.
A total of 318,389 Michigan residents have recovered after testing positive for COVID-19



With more than double the mortality rate of the national average shouldn’t our local “leaders” be engaging issue? Maybe find us a little extra help or at least encourage people to take precautions. Where is our local government on this and other issues of public safety?
