LAKE ORION, MI (WTVB) – They have waited two months to compete in the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals but three Coldwater High School students will be hoping it was worth the wait this weekend.
Coldwater divers Mia Rzepka and Charlotte Calhoun and swimmer Jillian McKinley will be competing in the Division Three Finals at Lake Orion High School.
Rzepka and Calhoun will be among 36 competitors in the Diving Finals on Friday.
The swimming finals will be on Saturday. McKinley will be in the 50 Freestyle in an event where she is seeded seventh as well as the 100 butterfly
The swimming and diving finals were originally scheduled to be held on November 20 and 21.
But high school sports were paused by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on November 15 due to a COVID-19 surge in the state.
