BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, the City of Battle Creek announced that it would be holding its State of the Community – Local Government event to the City of Battle Creek’s YouTube channel.
Officials say this decision was made because they want to provide more access to viewers, since they do not need an account to view on YouTube.
Officials say leaders from Calhoun County, as well as several of its municipalities, will update the community about its COVID-19 response, as well as individual accomplishments in 2020.
Community members are invited to submit questions to leaders ahead of time using this online form. Officials say they will answer as many questions as possible during the event.
Currently confirmed speakers include Springfield City Manager Vester Davis Jr., Battle Creek City Manager Rebecca Fleury, Calhoun County Administrator/Controller Kelli Scott, and Interim Albion City Manager Haley Snyder.
Officials add that the meeting will also give a look into 2021, and all area residents are encouraged to participate.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, November 29.
