BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Data released on Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services show Branch County’s positivity rate for new cases of COVID-19 dropped again last week.
Figure show 810 tests were administered in Branch County between January 30 and February 5 with 58 coming back positive. That gave Branch County a seven day positivity rate of seven-point-two percent.
That’s down one-point-one percent from the previous week.
Branch County is now at the lower end of Level B which is the fourth highest of the six level metric the state uses to measure coronavirus risks.
The data also shows there are no counties in the Level E or D category which are the two highest levels.
The seven day average for positive coronavirus tests is now under five percent in 45 of the 83 counties while 25 counties are now under the three percent benchmark.
