COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency said in their weekly report on Wednesday that over 18,000 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far in the tri-county area.
Of the 18,437 vaccines administered, a total of 5,870 have been in Branch County, 6,200 in Hillsdale County and 6,367 in St. Joseph County.
Most of the doses delivered in Branch and St. Joseph Counties have been from Moderna while the majority of doses in Hillsdale County have been from Pfizer.
A COVID-19 vaccination clinic took place at Centreville High School on Wednesday.
Others are being held Thursday at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater and at Hillsdale High School on Saturday.
The Health Agency’s says the daily number of new COVID-19 cases in Branch County has been in single digits every day since January 28.
Branch County has had the most COVID-19 related deaths in the jurisdiction with 83. There have been 80 deaths in St. Joseph County and 71 deaths in Hillsdale County.
St. Joseph County has had the most cases with 4,077 reported followed by Branch County with 3,395 and Hillsdale County with 2,985.
