Lowell Ray Betts, 82, of Quincy, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. He was born March 29, 1939 in Detroit to Herbert and Delcie (Crabtree) Betts.
Lowell graduated from Coldwater High School and was an entrepreneur, owning several businesses throughout his life. He was the former owner and operator of B & B Golf Cart Sales in Quincy. He also was the founder of Jerco Storage and Rental in Quincy, Hillsdale and Bronson. Lowell owned and operated the Idle Inn in Quincy for 10 years and had many rental properties in the Quincy area. He also served his country in the US Navy.
Survivors include three children, Andrea Betts of Fremont, IN, Christie (Ted) Faro of Hot Springs, AR and Todd Betts of Coldwater; grandchildren, Seth Robertson, Gabrielle Saltzgaber, Jareth Betts, Hunter Faro and Logan Betts; and his beloved dog, Misty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Batton.
Visitation for Lowell Betts will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy. Graveside services will also be held Sunday at 1:30 PM at Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor Mark Case officiating. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
