MT. PLEASANT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two players with Michigan ties were selected in last night’s WNBA draft.
Kysre Gondrezick was taken at number four overall by the Indiana Fever. Gondrezick was named Miss Michigan Basketball in 2016 and began her collegiate career at the University of Michigan before transferring to West Virginia.
Central Michigan University senior guard Micaela Kelly was drafted by the Connecticut Sun in the second round. Kelly helped lead CMU to three appearances in the NCAA Tournament, and was a member of the 2018 team which made it to the Sweet 16.
