ADA TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Another state lawmaker has been arrested for drunk driving.
WOOD-TV reports Rep. Bryan Posthumus, a Republican from Kent County’s Cannon Township, was arrested Friday for suspicion of operating while intoxicated. On Saturday, a press release showed that Posthumus had crashed and rolled his vehicle after hitting a mailbox in Ada Township.
His blood-alcohol level was reported over the legal driving limit at 0.13%. The lawmaker has apologized and said he is seeking treatment.
On April 6, Democratic Representative Jewell Jones of Inkster was arrested in Livingston County after he had veered into a ditch. His blood-alcohol level was at 0.19% at the time.
