ATHENS, MI (WTVB) – Kyle Johnson had three hits and drove in three runs as the Union City Chargers defeated the Athens Indians 16-0 in a non conference baseball game on Monday afternoon.
The game was shortened to four innings because of the mercy rule.
Phoenix Elkins and Owen Jackson both had two hits for the Chargers while Ryan Zweng added two RBI’s.
Tyler Wagley was the winning pitcher as tossed a two hit shutout and struck out seven.
With the win, the Chargers improved their record to 14-15.
