COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Association of Realtors reports they have received a National Safety Grant of $2,500 which will be used to protect their members.
According to the National Association of Realtors®, 33% of its members said they feared for their personal safety or the safety of their personal data at some point in the year.
Their Safety Program was created to reduce the number of incidents that occur in the industry.
The grant BCAR is receiving will help implement a Safety Program or feature for their members, and to encourage ongoing awareness of Realtor® Safety.
BCAR plans to use the grant to continue their contract with Forewarn, an agent safety app that enables members to gain real-time knowledge to verify identity, search for criminal histories and validate information. BCAR has been providing the Forewarn app to members, free of charge, since 2018.
