COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There is a vacancy on the Coldwater Community School Board of Education following the resignation of Nick Krzeminski.
His resignation is effective this Monday. He had served on the school board since 2011.
The Board of Education is now searching for an eligible candidate to fill the vacant position. The current term runs through December 31, 2022.
The seat will re-open for the November 2022 election at which time, the seat will be for a six year term.
An eligible candidate for a board member vacancy must be a qualified school elector. That means the applicant must be a registered voter, be at least 18 years of age, be a citizen of the U.S., be a resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days and be a resident of the school district.

The deadline for applying is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
The Board of Education will consider and appoint a new board member during the regular organizational business meeting on Monday, July 12.
