ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI – A 58-year-old Sturgis woman had to be flown out Wednesday afternoon after two vehicles collided at a St. Joseph County intersection.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says the crash took place at about 3:00 p.m. when a 27-year-old Three Rivers man who was driving a Chevrolet SUV failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Lutz and Dickinson Roads.
The woman was driving a Ford pickup truck. While she had to be flown for evaluation of her injuries, the man was not injured but he was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
The 27-year-old Three Rivers man was driving west on Dickinson Road when he hit a gray Ford pickup driven by a 58-year-old Sturgis woman, police said.
