COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A $20,000 offer has been made to the City of Coldwater for a vacant lot the city currently owns at 69 Thompson Blvd.
The offer was made by a nearby property owner. It was one of the eight properties the City bought in 2018 from the Branch Intermediate School District at a total price of $44,000. Each of the lots sold for $5,500.
The Coldwater City Council voted on Monday night to put the conveyance on the table for 30 days since it is required by the City Charter whenever public property is sold.
Other bids may be received and considered by the City Council during that time.
With the council’s schedule, the first regularly scheduled meeting that action can be taken after the 30-day time period will be on Monday August 9.
