DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Michigan State University athletic director Mark Hollis is the new chair of the Detroit Sports Organizing Corp.
In his new role, Hollis will help the Detroit Sports Commission secure bids for major sporting events.
While at MSU he put together the Michigan State and Michigan outdoor hockey game in 2001. Hollis was also responsible for the first NCAA basketball game held on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier in 2011.
