COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys soccer teams picked up a pair of shutout victories Friday, as the varsity beat Grand Ledge 2-0 and the junior varsity team won 5-0.
In the varsity game, Coldwater dominated possession and outshot Grand Ledge 22-8.
Amine Mohammed scored first, putting in the rebound of a blocked penalty kick halfway through the first half. Mohammed would score another goal with 24:02 to play in the second half to seal the win.
Bauston Feldbauer made three saves in goal to earn the Cardinals first shutout of the season. They will host Otsego Tuesday in nonconference action.
The Coldwater JV team topped Grand Ledge 5-0. Ghaith Musa scored three goals, while Niko Downs and Moshen Ahmed each had one.
