COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The recent surge of COVID-19 cases is affecting operations at the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff John Pollack reported to the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday that for the time being, most new inmates will not be booked into the facility.
Pollack added they will be short on the number of available road deputies for the next several days.
As of midnight on Wednesday night, the jail only had 71 inmates lodged which is about half of its listed capacity.

Sheriff Pollack is doing a admirable job we need to support him.
