COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – City of Coldwater firefighters paid tribute to those who died during and after 9-11 Saturday by climbing the grandstand stairs in full gear at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
They went up and down the stairs 37 times to equal the 2071 stairs the Fire Department of New York made that day. There were 343 members of the Fire Department of New York who died in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on 9-11.
VIP Auto/Towing donated water for the climb.
