JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Concord edged Bronson by five points to win the boys meet while Jonesville won the girls meet on Tuesday at the Big 8 Conference Jamboree hosted by Jonesville.
Concord took three of the top six spots to score 35 points to win the boys race. Bronson was second with 40 points while Union City was fifth.
Quincy did not have enough runners for a team score but the Orioles’ Rhett Reif finished second in a time of 17:13.4.
Bronson’s Ashton Wells was fourth with a time of 17:19.9. Aden Hathaway was seventh, Reagan Mayer was eighth, Brayden Ransbottom was 12th and Tanner Norton was 14th.
Maddox Miller of Union City was 17th while Jason Shoop was 21st.
Jonesville won the girls race with 44 points. Quincy was second with 73 points, Concord was third and Union City finished fourth.
Bronson’s Sidney Swick won the girls race in a time of 21:43.4. Her teammate Abby Ware was 14th.
Union City’s Skyler Fraley was fourth in a time of 22:40.4 while Kyla Burdick was ninth.
Quincy had five runners finish in the top 20. Charlotte Crabbs was 11th with a time of 23:58.1. Kailey Allman was 12th, Elise Wright was 13th, Libby Butchart was 17th while Mollie Butchart was 20th.
