QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In a game that featured almost 800 yards of total offense, the Bronson Vikings defeated the Quincy Orioles 40-28 on Friday night in the Big 8 Conference finale for both teams.
The Orioles led 22-20 at halftime thanks to a pair of Tae’Sean Bodley touchdowns from 27 and 65 yards out and a 30-year touchdown pass from Gabe Watson to Noah Pearson.
Bronson got their first half scores on a ten yard TD by Boston Bucklin, a five yard TD by Gerardo Martinez and a two yard touchdown by Chris Thyng.
Bucklin’s second touchdown of the night from a yard out was the only score in the third quarter and it gave the Vikings a 26-22 lead.
Bronson never trailed after that as they tacked on two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Quincy’s only second half score came on a one yard touchdown by Watson.
Bronson accumulated 447 yards of the total offense with all of the yards came on the ground. Quincy had 347 yards of total offense.
The Vikings are now 2-6 overall and they finish 2-5 in the Big 8 Conference. The Orioles are 0-8 overall and they were 0-7 in the conference.
