UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers won their Homecoming game on Friday night as they defeated the Springport Spartans 36-16 and finished in a second place tie in the Big 8 Conference final standings.
Terrance Morgan Junior had a pair of touchdowns for Union City from 59 and 32 yards out.
Garrett Iobe also had a pair of TD’s from 23 and two yards.
Landyn Crance threw a seven yard touchdown pass to Brayton Mears.
The Chargers have won two straight and are 4-4 overall.
They still have a chance to qualify for the post season depending on the outcome of their Cascades Conference cross over game next Friday.
Union City tied for second in the Big Eight with Homer and Reading at 4-2.
