COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Landscaping Plan for the proposed Exclusive Brands Marijuana Retail Establishment at 599 East Chicago was approved on Monday night by the Coldwater Planning Commission. Exclusive Brands would operate in the location of the now closed Wings Etc. restaurant which shut down for good at the end of business last Wednesday night.
City Planner Dean Walrack said the plans include the removal of a second drive way in the back.
Architect Cody Newman from Driven Design of Battle Creek said on Monday the closing on the property has taken place and the restaurant equipment will be removed by the end of January.
Newman’s landscaping plan got a thumbs up from Planning Commission members Jessika Cole and Chris Stevens.
The Planning Commission approved a Special Use Permit for the proposed marijuana business last August.
The Commission had to approve the Landscaping Plan before any building or site development permissions are issued by the city.
