BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings got back to the .500 mark on Thursday night with a 51-41 win over the Quincy Orioles in a Big 8 Conference contest in Bronson.
It was Bronson’s second win over a Branch County rival this week after they defeated Union City on Tuesday night.
Bronson’s Aden Hathaway scored a game-high 27 points which included 16 points in the third quarter.
Ashtyn Morris led Quincy with 14 points.
The Vikings are now 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the Big 8. The Orioles drop to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Also in the Big 8, the Union City Chargers dropped their second straight game as they lost at Jonesville 51-41. The Chargers are now 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Homer romped over Springport 77-41.
Also in boys basketball, Tekonsha lost to Jackson Christian 42-34.
In underclassmen boys basketball, Coldwater swept Jackson Northwest. The Coldwater Freshman team picked up their first win on the year as they defeated Jackson Northwest 47-32. Leading the way for Coldwater was Drew Ennis and Kendall Austin with 14 points each. Claudel Wischmeyer added 8 points. The Coldwater J.V. team won 48-44. Niko Downs led all scores with 15 points. Aiden Dirschell added 14 points.
