LOWELL, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School Gymnastics team traveled to Lowell on Saturday for the annual military salute gymnastics invitational and finished third with their highest score of the season (133.425), just behind the host team Lowell (133.775).
Rockford claimed the first place finish in the eleven team invitational.
Teams from schools including Vassar, Walled Lake Northern, Holt, Kenowa Hills, and Walled Lake Central all participated in the invite.
Five individual Cardinals brought home medals from the competition in divisions one and two.
Charlotte Calhoun was third for Division 2 on the uneven bars and third on the beam. She was also fifth in floor exercise and senior McKenna Hantz was third.
In the all-around competition Coldwater had three individuals place in the top ten. Calhoun turned in an impressive personal best all around tally of 35.025 points. The mark was good enough for the sophomore to finish in third place for division two. Avery Boyce earned a personal best total score of 32.75 points to finish in 10th place at division 2. In division one, Hantz (32.8) also earned a third place finish.
