COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Cardinal Varsity Bowlers split their Interstate 8 matches with Marshall on Thursday at Midway Lanes.
The Varsity Girls won their match 30 to 0. They took both regular games 703 to 579 and 879 to 611 and totals 1582 to 1190. They also won both Baker games, 154 to 131 and 142 to 134, taking totals 296 to 265. Coldwater was led by Sophomore Ema Shidler with a high game of 209 and Junior Violet Waltke a 192.
The Varsity boys lost another close match 18 to 12. They dropped both regular games 808 to 902 and 745 to 937, losing totals 1553 to 1839. They turned it around in the Baker games, taking both, 162 to 151 and 163 to 143, taking totals 325 to 294. The boys were led by Chase Rubley with a 189 and Austin Johnson a 178.
The JV Girls took their match 27 to 3 while The JV Boys won their match 20 to 10
