ANN ARBOR MI (WKZO AM/FM) – As summer moves closer and more people head to the Great Lakes to enjoy the water and beaches, they may discover that water levels are a wee bit lower than in previous years.
Data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory indicates that lake levels are beginning to return to normal levels.
Higher lake levels began to show up in 2014, and several beachfront areas experienced erosion and damage due to the higher water issues.
