COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A benefit barbecue fundraiser for a Rampit USA employee who has been battling health issues in recent years will be held this Saturday at the Branch County Fairgrounds starting at 3:00 p.m..
Join the Rampit USA family in supporting Michael Motta with an afternoon full of food, fun, and prizes.
General admission includes all-you-can-eat pulled pork with all of the fixings, free activities for children and adults, and opportunities to win countless prizes.
Motta has made a career helping others. Through various roles on the Rampit USA team, he has spent nearly eleven years serving others including the elderly, disabled, and America’s veterans.
In December 2020, Michael was forced to leave work due to his quickly declining health.
Shortly after, his wife Laurie had no choice but to leave her job to focus on Michael’s health.
Then in December of 2021, Michael was diagnosed with his second bout of cancer. This time, it was stage three squamous cell carcinoma.
Thankfully, nearly six months later, he is once-again cancer-free and well on his way to recovery.
But the cost of treatment and the family’s inability to work while caring for Michael has left an enormous burden on the entire Motta family.
All proceeds from Saturday’s event will be paid directly to Michael and his family to help cover medical expenses.
