Bill, along with his brother Glenn and their father, owned and operated McCann Farm Equipment, a John Deere implement company, from 1953 to 1973.
As an avid hunter, fisherman, and game conservation enthusiast, Bill hunted and fished throughout the western United States, Canada, and Alaska; in later years he hunted on his property in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He was proud of his Patron Membership in the National Rifle Association as well as being a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, Quincy, MI where he and Phyllis were very active.
He had a deep and abiding faith that influenced his whole life, personal, professional, and social. A family man at heart, Bill loved spending time with his children, his 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Calvary Baptist Church or Maple Lawn Medical Facility in Bill’s name.
