COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 92nd edition of the Branch County Fair opens on Sunday for a six day run at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
The theme for this year’s fair is “Into the Future”.
PreFair activities will take place on Saturday as youngsters enter their exhibits.
The Fair parade will start at 4:00 p.m.. Long time volunteers Ed Mercer and Albert Russell will be the Grand Marshals.
The route will be the same as past years. From the Fairgrounds, the parade will turn onto South Jefferson and head north to U.S. 12.
It will turn left and follow West Chicago to South Clay where it will turn left and head south to Park Avenue.
The parade will follow Park to Jefferson where it will turn right and head back to the Fairgrounds.
The Branch Buds Animal Showing will take place after the parade at 6:00 p.m. in the Show Shelter.
The fair officially opens at 12:00 noon on Sunday except for the Midway.
The Elliots Amusement rides will open at 12:00 noon on Tuesday afternoon.
Sunday’s schedule includes the Poultry Show at 9:00 a.m., Antique Tractor Pulls in the Amphitheater at 11:00 a.m., the Rabbit and Cavy Show at 1:00 p.m. and Barnyard Children Judging at 5:00 p.m..
There will be an Inspirational Service in the Dearth Center at 4:00 p.m.
The crowning of the Fair King and Queen will take place in the Dearth Center at 7:00 p.m..
