UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City split their matches with Marshall and Stockbridge on Tuesday night as they hosted a tri meet.
The Chargers split as they lost to Marshall but defeated Stockbridge in three games.
Jordan Chard had seven kills for the Chargers while Laynie Elkins had 15 digs, Hailey Day had three blocks and Gracie Phelps recorded 21 assists.
Union City Coach Ashley Herman said, “We were coming off a huge weekend of play and they just continue to do the right things! We started out the evening against a very tough Marshall squad but held our own and the second set was impressive. Our second match was against Stockbridge and we started off strong in set one but let our guard down in set two and they forced a 3rd set to decide the match. We set a few goals for that third set and our team really went out and took care of business. “
