LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Forty-three percent of Michigan voters say current laws on gun ownership are not strict enough. This is according to poll results from Epic MRA, a full service survey research firm.
The survey went onto say that forty-two percent said the laws are perfectly fine, while 7% said they’re too strict.
The poll also asked voters for their take on the importance of protecting gun owners and combating gun violence.
According to the survey, 49% said gun violence is the most pressing issue, while 41% said that it’s more important to protect those who own firearms.
When asked if it’s important for the state to enact stronger laws on guns, 65% of voters said it was, while 30% said it’s a top priority.
