COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Five different players scored as the Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team rolled over Pennfield 8-0 Thursday night in the team’s Purple Game.
The contest ended with two minutes to play due to the mercy rule, on a Nabil Saied goal, assisted by Yasin Yahya. Saied finished the game with two goals and one assist.
Arif Ahmed had two goals and two assists, while Laith Musa had two goals and one assist, with single goals for Yasin Yeyha on a penalty kick, and Hamid Abdulla on a long direct kick.
Franky Ramos picked up his second straight shutout victory with two saves, as Coldwater outshot Pennfield 23-2.
The Cardinals record now is 6-4-3 overall and 3-0-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference. They are scheduled to host Three Rivers in varsity only action Saturday at 12 a.m.
