COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Varsity Girls Swim and Dive team hosted the first ever I-8 Invitational on Saturday at the Browne Aquatic Center.
Harper Creek came out top, with a score of 416. Coldwater finished in second with a score of 395 followed by Marshall with a score of 386.
The meet started with diving where Charlotte Calhoun kept her undefeated season going with another team record in the 11 dive event.
Alexa Omo finished in second which qualified her to go to dive regionals in November.
Randi Dudek also earned a MHSAA state berth with a winning time in the 50 Freestyle. This will be the sixth consecutive season the Lady Cards have gone to state.
Overall, the Cardinals won 8 of the 12 events on the day.
Dudek also won the 100 Backstroke, Klara-Sofie Bollmann won the 200 IM and 100Freestyle, Olivia Boland won the 200 Freestyle, the relay team of Dudke, Ayla McCowan, Klara-Sofie, and Charlotte won the 200 Medley, and the relay of Klara-Sofie, Boland, Sienna Losinski, and Dudek won the 400 Freestyle.
Coldwater finishes the dual meets on Tuesday when they travel to Sturgis.
