BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams went 1-3 against Jackson Northwest on Monday night.
The 8th grade A team lost in overtime 58-49. Dayton Ennis had 14 points and five assists for Legg while Finnegan Hanson had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Draycn Foster had 11 points.
The 8th grade B team beat Northwest 27-21. Rylan Edwards scored 14 points while Thad Timer had eight rebounds and Austin Stepp had twelve steals.
The 7th grade A team lost to Jackson Northwest 36-28. Wayne Case led Legg with 12 points while Evan Lewis had seven points and 10 rebounds.
The 7th grade B team lost to Jackson Northwest 18-16. Carter Curtis and scored five points while Kameron McKinney had 8 rebounds.
Union City was swept by Springport losing by scores of 66-24 in the eighth grade game and 56-49 in the seventh grade game. Micah Payne had 12 points for the Chargers in the eighth grade game while Braxton Miller scored 17 points for Union City in the seventh grade contest.
Quincy swept Bronson by scores of 38-34 for the eighth graders and 56-30 in the seventh grade game. The Orioles seventh graders are now 8-0.
Leading scorers in the seventh grade game were Quincy’s Noah Kelley 16 points and Bronson’s Owen Losinski with 12 points.
Warner Wotta posted a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Bronson in the eighth grade game. Christian Craven led the eighth grade Orioles with 14 points while Alex Dunn scored 12 points.
