Bruce A. Leone, 87, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, Coldwater.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating.
Interment of ashes will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Bruce was born January 26, 1935 in Roswell, Ohio to Alexander and Pauline (Feister) Leone. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Dover, Ohio where he was proud to have played football. Bruce honorably served in the US Navy from 1955-1956.
Mr. Leone was a contractor and surveyor his entire career working in Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Michigan. He owned and operated “Lake Region” for many years.
Bruce attended St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater. He loved the outdoors, spending time walking and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed reading and his computer but his greatest love was for his family. He treasured the time they spent together and a good Italian meal. Bruce was a big man with a big smile.
Bruce is survived by his companion of 34 years Gloria Groshko of Coldwater; his children Michelle “Micci” Leone of Columbus, OH, Bruce (Jennifer) Leone of Louisville, OH, Mitchell Leone of Dallas, TX, Sheila (Greg) Ange of Stowe, OH, Lara Joseph of Sylvania, OH, Dena (Dan) Drenner of Lambertville; his sister Nena (Bill) Henry; half siblings Jessie (Rick) Miller, Frank Leone, Mary (Jeff) Pendel, Diane (Kenny) Musselman; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; very special friends Vince Kyle and Jeanine Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children Vincent Leone, Tony Leone, Shannon Leone; his sister Myrna Chadwick; his brother Eugene Leone; son-in-law Freddie Joseph and his good friend Robert Smith.
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Indian School, Boy’s Town or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
